Cobble Hill (Area C) Regional Director
Hello All,
It’s with great pleasure to be writing this short note to welcome you all to the 116th 2025 Cobble Hill Fair. This great community event has always attracted visitors from all over our beautiful Island and we’re hoping that this year will be a great success as well.
You may have noticed that the Cenotaph area has been modified with new lighting so that the central point is always bathed in low light during darkness throughout the year. The power for these lights was installed and paid for by the Farmers Institute, just another example of the great work that they do! We also installed two new flagstaffs so that the Canadian, BC and Legion flags could all be flown at the same time. Remembrance Day in the village centred around the Cenotaph are always attended by over 1,000 people, old and young, service personnel and organizations.
I am also hoping that early in 2026 we will have a permanent band stage built in the park area so that other community events, such as Music In The Park can be held on a much-improved facility. Watch this space!
Enjoy the fair!
Mike Wilson
